Had a different hike planned today and at the last minute got an invitation to see a rock wall. High atop a mtn ridge is a rock wall that winds around the edge of the ridge and down into a canyon. It comes and goes and can be seen in the far distance on other saddles and ridges.
This is only visable from on top of the ridge. The section we followed was between .3 and .5 miles long. Very well built.
There is a story that it's an ancient Indian wall for..... ancient Indian things.

To me it looks other cow barriers that are in place to keep them from falling over a cliff OR just a continuation of a fence but in a place where fence posts can't be set up.
Some cool shelter caves. One with a wall at The entrance. Cool and windy.
Always a story that promises hidden gold.
