I've been hopeful that the Forest Folks would fix the road all the way to the well but they stopped short by almost a mile.

We parked at the edge of the last gravel field and followed the road to a little beyond the windmill.

In places a passenger car could make it with no trouble, there are also places that my truck wouldnt make it.
We opted to take the river bed back. A few signs of immigrants at Wolf Tank.

Wish they had finished the job. I'm betting that the guy who checks on the well does too.
