| no partners | | The walk today had a couple inspirations: 1) Alston's triplog last week made Perry Mesa look fun and I hadn't been there for quite a while, and 2) I'd talked to a nice fellow (Tim) about Perry Mesa petroglyphs and he told me about a cool one I didn't know about. Further, it wasn't too far from a very nice petroglyph we'd found on a group trip (well Petrophile with his petrovision found it) 5 years ago. A few months after that trip I casually tried to pass by it again and failed. So today I hoped to see both of these glyphs.
On top of that, I'd spent a lot of time walking in this area before and wondered how I'd missed "finding" these petroglyphs myself. I'd passed close to both of them several times. And so I sketched a path between previous tracks I'd recorded and thought maybe I'd find other interesting things along the way.
The results: I enjoyed walking familiar ground and I did pass a few new things. But the two glyphs I was chasing were the stars - really nice ones. |
