| no partners | | My last hike of 2022. It's been a year of contrasts for me. One of my best professional years ever, but also a big health scare I had to deal with as well. I have another month until I turn 60, so I have to keep on hiking to keep those tired bones, aching joints and cloudy brain functioning properly!
Nothing new to add on the trail description. I started early to catch the sunrise colors. Mother Nature snuck in a little under the clouds that eventually made for a gloomy morning. But, not before treating me to the last sunrise of 2022.
I had bigger thoughts going through my mind earlier about heading down to La Barge Creek and checking out "the Box", but I was ok with scoping out every view from both high points and then heading back down (and up and down) to the marina.
Only one other hiker at the start, so it was relatively peaceful. The masses soon joined as 5-6 groups passed me going up as I was going down.
If this place was in almost any other state, it would be a National Park. Not many views can compare to what this trail offers.
Happy New Year to you all, I hope your 2023 is filled with blessings for you, your families, and friends. |
