| partners | | Another Thanksgiving morning hike, this time from Adero Canyon (like last year) which has become our preferred starting point. Some quick introductions, and we got started around 0630. Pleasant breeze, cloudy, and oddly, the temps in Fountain Hills were nearly 10 degrees warmer than in Ahwatukee. Gorgeous sunrise on our way uphill.
Only a few other hikers at the summit. From there, we broke into two groups, some headed down the other side of the peak for a longer hike, and the rest of us headed back to the trailhead. Didn’t see as many hikers as previous years. Trail is overall in pretty good shape. Nice to finally meet Wade, and good to see everyone else. Happy Thanksgiving! |
