| no partners | | I had troubles with Route Scout this morning, so I just copied the stats from last week's hike, adding a bit to the time.
I left my daughter, Bonnie, and my granddaughter, Sugar, at the Pima Canyon Trailhead parking lot. They wanted to do Pokemon Go. Apparently, there's a "gym" (whatever that is) at the trailhead, and lots of Pokemon around there to catch. They had fun while Dad/Papa and Ember went hiking.
The night before the hike, it rained on South Mountain, so all the trees had tiny diamond-like droplets of water. Very pretty.
I sent a link of last week's hike to my nephew in Washington state, telling him about my hike. His first question, "Any pics?" So, this week, I took some pictures. Yes, I know there are a bazillion pictures of South Mountain; I guess there'll be a bazillion and nine when I'm done. (Ian, get an account!)
Ember and I just cruised right along. It was a nice cool morning. Surprisingly, not many people on the trail. We had the trail to ourselves most of the time. Because Bonnie & Sugar were at the trailhead waiting for us, we didn't take any breaks.
Another great day to be out and about, enjoying this wonderful world! |
