I figured that today was a good day to do my first Mount Ord hike of the year.

There has been some work done on FR 27: the trench that was half-way up has been filled in, and a few washouts were repaired. The road still has some severe ruts in it and it is rough in a number of places, so it is almost like they are trying to make a jeep road out of it

I put microspikes on after 6 miles, and kept them on until I got back down to where I put them on

It was breezy in the morning which made it cool up on top, but things warmed up nicely in the afternoon.

About 3 miles into the hike, I saw 5 white tailed deer down below FR 27. It is nice seeing wildlife in the area that was devastated by the Bush Fire.
