I decided to make a beeline up Highway 87 today and hike up to Mount Ord.

It was cold and windy most of the day, but it warmed up about the last 4 miles back.

I put microspikes on shortly after getting to FR 626, and kept them on until about 1/2 mile back down on FR 27. This was more snow than I have seen on my hikes up to Mount Ord.

On the way up on FR 626 a truck had run off into a ditch, but he had another vehicle there to help pull him out. He was gone by the time that I came back down, so he got out of the ditch.

Jaws has come back to life -- FR 27 is no longer driveable for its entirety by cars/trucks. So the repairs that were made last month did not last long. I saw some motorcycle tracks on FR 27, and on the way down I met 2 motorcycle riders going up the road about a mile from the TH.
