| no partners | | I hadn't been up to Mount Ord yet this month, so I decided to go up there today.
It was a nice day for the hike, although it was a bit warm for my liking on the last 2-3 miles.
There were a few more people out there than normal. I saw one trailrunner who started from the Slate Creek TH, and a couple of people drove up to the gate and were making the short hike up to the summit.
As I was ascending, when I got to FR 626 somebody in a sedan drove up and for some reason decided to drive down FR 27. That road really isn't even suitable for a 4WD vehicle anymore, and the sedan had a predictable result (see photos). |

Autumn Foliage Observation Isolated There were a few gambel oaks with yellow leaves on the upper part of FR 626. |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated There wasn't much, but I did see some Arizona penstemon, Palmer's penstemon, and mohave prickly poppy. |
