I decided to finish out the month by doing this hike again.

There are quite a few wildflowers. Flowers were sparse the first mile, but after that they were pretty much non-stop all the way to the summit, and even on the summit.

On the way back I saw a dead rattlesnake on FR 626A, not far below the summit. It looked like it had gotten run over by a service vehicle.

There are still lots of flowers blooming: bluestem prickly poppy, field bindweed, palmers penstemon, california flannel bush, yerba santa, sand wash groundsel, and New Mexico Locust stood out
