| no partners | | This morning I saw a roadrunner on my block wall outside my room at home. First I've ever seen a roadrunner here. I do have a Curve-Billed Thrasher nest in my huge Candelabra cactus; maybe it was dropping by for a visit or to hear them sing.
Actually got some decent AEG out of this adjusted route circling Lookout Mountain every which way. If you see my route, you would agree. It's always a fun day when no hat is required. I did wear a long sleeve shirt and pants which was the right decision for the breezy conditions at times. I saw about a dozen people on my route. My struggle with AEG continues but I'll keep working at it.
Kicked off the usual amount of rocks. Smelled dope as I passed into a wash, finally figured out where it was coming from. Air looked yucky in the distance. Virga was high in the sky. Decided to have a chocolate Frosty after since Wendy's is just a short distance away from the hike and home.
WATCH 2:18-3:56PM including stop at Park facilities, 4.39 miles burning 533 calories, 1487-1749 elevation. 148 avg bpm/191 max (seems high again... hmmm). 12% Zone 5 (168-186) max, 42% Zone 4 (149-167) anaerobic, 28% Zone 3 (131-148) aerobic, 17% Zone 2 (112-130) weight control. Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
