I woke up to rain so delayed my plans to hike. I checked the radar and it looks like the rain would stay away for a while so I headed up to Lookout. I parked at the bottom of the hill and started counterclockwise. The rain has done a number down here as it was hard to see what was a trail from the road.

As I continued over to the north side of the humps I saw a bunch of Desert Senna which is not something I recall seeing out here very often. It was nice when the sun stayed behind the clouds as I made my way around the west side. I saw several plants that I normally see in the spring so that was kind of weird. I stopped to take a couple pictures that didn't turn out very well. I had put these new lens protectors on and maybe they are interfering with the quality or I need to try and take more time to get the photos of this small flora.

I continued on my way and encountered a couple hikers as I rounded the south side and headed north. I felt like I was making pretty good time. Once back to the TH parking lot I decided to extend the hike since the sun went behind the clouds and I did the southwest loop. I saw some quail down here but they were too quick for a photo.
